Who We Are

Westgate Church is a multi-generational church where the young and the old flow together and appreciates each other. People of different races, nationalities, ages, and social backgrounds relate together in love and unity.  We serve the community through weekend services, mid-week bible studies, and small group meetings held in our homes.

Pastor Alfred Moore, affectionately known as “Pastor Al,” is the founder and pastor of Westgate Church in Port Allen, Louisiana. Pastor Al is a graduate of McKinley Senior High School, Southern University A&M College, and Ministers Training Institute (MTI). He also holds numerous certifications for family counseling and other aspects of pastoral care. Pastor Al earned a degree in Horticulture from Southern University and started Paradise Landscape Company which he operated successfully for many years.
